چکیده

Introduction: White coat hypertension (WCH), a distinct phenotype of hypertension, is defined as elevated office blood pressure (BP) measurements during repeat visits with normal out-of-office BP measurements. The association WCH cardiovascular risk remains unclear; however, current data support an between untreated and the for events, mortality, all-cause mortality. Increased inflammatory processes may explain underlying pathophysiology increased events in WCH; therefore, we evaluated neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) patients compared matched normotensive controls.
Material Method: Forty-five eligible subjects 45 age, sex, BMI healthy were included study. assessed by arterial 24-hour ambulatory An automated count analyzer measured NLR values. Results: mean patients-with-WCH group was significantly higher than that control (2.67±0.27 vs. 2.46±0.34, p

The evaluation of neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio and platelet to lymphocyte ratio in patients with rheumatoid arthritis with and without ocular complications

Background: Rheumatoid Arthritis patients are evaluated during treatment for various inflammatory factors such as C-reactive protein, Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate, and Disease Activity Score, and other immune system-related factors. In the follow-up of patients with rheumatoid arthritis, hematologic factors associated with the immune system especially Platelet to Lymphocyte Ratio and Neutroph...

Lymphocyte DNA damage and total antioxidant status in patients with white-coat hypertension and sustained hypertension.

OBJECTIVES We assessed lymphocyte DNA damage and total antioxidant status (TAS) in patients with white-coat hypertension (WCH) and sustained hypertension (SHT). STUDY DESIGN The study included 23 patients (14 females, 9 males; mean age 46+/-6 years) with WCH, 21 patients (13 females, 8 males; mean age 45+/-7 years) with newly diagnosed SHT, and 19 age- and sex-matched healthy volunteers as co...

Increased IL-17A in Atrial Fibrillation Correlates with Neutrophil to Lymphocyte Ratio

Background: Atrial Fibrillation (AF) is the most common cardiac arrhythmia and an independent risk factor for stroke among the elderly. A role for inflammation in the atrial remodeling as well as development and recurrence of AF is known. Objective: To compare IL-17A between patients with different types of AF and healthy individuals. Methods: IL-17A was measured in sera of 112 patients and 107...

Platelet to lymphocyte ratio and neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio in patients with rheumatoid arthritis

OBJECTIVES It has been well documented that the platelet to lymphocyte ratio (PLR) and the neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio (NLR) are associated with outcomes for patients with gastric cancer, non-small cell lung cancer and acute heart failure. Inflammation may be the hidden factor that explains the correlation between NLP, PLR, and these diseases. However, to date, the data concerning NLR, PLR, ...

Neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio in patients with vitiligo

Introduction There are a few studies showing an increased risk of insulin resistance, metabolic syndrome, and oxidative stress in patients with vitiligo. Aim To investigate whether systemic inflammation is increased in vitiligo patients in a case-control study design. Material and methods Nonsegmental vitiligo patients who had been followed at the outpatient dermatology clinic of a universi...
